A majestic Mt. Rainier glows with warm hues at sunset, towering over a dense forest of evergreen trees. The clear sky enhances the vibrant colors and highlights the rugged terrain.
Mt. Rainier stood tall and serene, cloaked in the darkness of the early morning. The towering peak, with its jagged ridges and snow-draped slopes, seemed almost otherworldly under the faint light of the stars. A hush blanketed the landscape, broken only by the distant murmurs of mountain streams and the occasional rustling of nocturnal creatures.
As the first hints of dawn approached, the eastern horizon began to blush with a delicate shade of pink. Slowly, the light spread, painting the sky in a gradient of colors that shifted from deep indigo to soft lavender, and then to a vibrant orange. The air was crisp, carrying the scent of pine and the faint chill of the glacier-fed winds.
The mountain’s summit, rising above the surrounding ridgelines, was the first to catch the sun’s rays....
About Jerry Cahill

I discovered my love for photography during a visit to my aunt during my sophomore year of high school. She gifted me a dozen rolls of film for an old, inexpensive Instamatic camera and took me on an unforgettable adventure to the San Diego Zoo. Armed with that little camera and a sense of wonder, I explored the zoo, capturing the beauty and personality of the animals through the lens. It was an experience like no other, and it ignited a passion that would stay with me for the rest of my life. In college, I managed to find a reasonably priced 35mm camera, but the cost of film and developing was a hurdle that kept me from fully diving into the craft. Then, as often happens, life got busy.
